Making a claim

We want your claims process to be as hassle-free as possible. If you need to file a claim, please call our toll-free Client Service line. A Claims Specialist will walk you through the necessary steps.

Consultel ® confidential psychological assistance service following a difficult life event

Consultel® is a confidential psychological assistance service provided as part of your alumni group insurance program. Consultel® telephone counseling services are included with Term Life, Critical Illness and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage. There are no out-of-pocket costs for using the service.

To use these services, you or a family member must be insured for the event which necessitates counseling services. Telephone counseling sessions can begin as soon as the claim is filed.

To initiate counseling, please contact Consultel® directly at 1.844.598.5262. You must have your group policy number and member/employee ID when you call. Within 24 hours of your request, a file is opened and a professional counselor is assigned. The counselor then contacts you to set up a telephone appointment. A first telephone session takes place within seven days of the initial request.
